At Independent Research we undertake primary research on different market segments in various teams. In order to expand our staff we are searching for experienced and highly motivated analysts (m/f/x) and/or qualified entrants/career changers (computer scientists, economists, biochemists, etc.) with a university degree.
Your tasks:
Analysis of the German and European stock markets as a member of a specific team in order to undertake investment research and supply market commentary to our institutional customers on a daily basis.
You will visit the respective corporations (one-on-one interviews, DVFA events, earnings press conferences) and stay in close touch with the companies under your coverage.
As a trained analyst you will represent our company to our customers and the media.
Requirement profile:
We regard a university or university of applied sciences degree or a comparable professional education as the minimum requirement. It is also important that you have extensive interest in and comprehension of the financial markets.
You should be capable of analytical thinking and have good communication skills.
Analysts have to be able to work under high pressure and be flexible with regard to working hours as well as mentally flexible. Good spoken and written English is desirable as well.

We are searching for an experienced and highly motivated business journalist (m/f/x) or career changer with a business or editorial background to lead our daily publications team.
Your tasks:
You will write brief news items that cover all important news relevant to the capital market such as general meeting decisions, profit warnings, semiannual reports, etc., and expertly analyse the news from a business management perspective, filter out the key information for the capital market, and compile ad-hoc reports in good German and English.
Requirement profile:
We regard a university or university of applied sciences degree or a comparable professional education as the minimum requirement. You should also have several years of news agency or information service experience. It is also important that you have extensive interest in and comprehension of the financial markets.
As head of the daily publications team, you need to be able to work under pressure and be flexible with regard to working hours as well as mentally flexible. You have good command of business German and English both written and spoken, have good communication skills, and are capable of analytical thinking. In order to meet our high service and quality standards, you are also required to be an excellent team player and to work thoroughly.

To strengthen our team we are searching for an experienced secretary (m/f/x) to be employed on a part-time basis (20 hours per week, approximately 4 hours per day) as soon as possible.
Your tasks:
Planning, execution, coordination and control of administrative operations of the office of the managing partner and of the company's departments in accordance with assignment, objectives and schedule while maintaining confidentiality provisions; opening and distribution of incoming mail; handling the management's correspondence from dictation or independently; efficient assistance to the management in its tasks; maintaining the registry of documents; schedule planning and control; planning and organisation of business trips of the managing partner and doing follow-up work; keeping a register of leave and setting up a holiday schedule for the senior staff; organising entertainment and accommodation of clients and guest during visits; keeping birthday and anniversary lists and announcing anniversaries in good time; inspection and distribution of incoming trade journals; central processing of personnel issues such as hiring, dismissal, retirement, sickness, other absence, and leave.

We are constantly searching for trainees and students for various tasks with different requirements in the respective teams and departments of our company. Wer prefer placements of three months (compulsory traineeship). Assignments of our student part-time employees are made according to prior agreement. Payment is based on hours worked.
Your profile:
Advanced stage of study of business economics or macroeconomics and good command of English.
